My company is transferring me to the USA for a 3 year contract. They are paying to move my family and house hold items. I've been in Thailand 10 years and have accumulated a few power tools, welders and drill press etc. Problem is they are 220v, should I take them with me and have an electrician put in 220v in the house's garage I will rent or sell them? As we may be returning I was thinking of keeping them. What should I do? Is there any issues I may not be aware of?
