What is it with bringing children in this discussion? Here in Germany, at the local lake, there is, of course, a nudist area. The local bike path to the next village goes right through it, it is demarkated from the lawn for the normal swimmers only by a sign, so whole families sunbathe or picnic just beside it. At this particularly lake, this area is there only since the last 25 years, but I know other places, where this is normal for a 100 years or more. If children would choose to ride their bike along this path, as many do, or simply walk up to this part of the lawn, nothing would prevent them from seeing "everything" (I have been along this path with my daughter, without a second thought). There is no reason to: this is the normal human body; we all have them, actually, children themselves have them. Laying on a lawn in the sun is not a sexual act, so there is no issue, at all.
