Spaniel
My wife and I will be driving up to Nam Nao NP from Bangkok in late January for a few days of camping. Would appreciate any travel tips from anyone who has been there recently. Thanks.
apetley
I went about 8 years ago so no recent experience. What I would say is that I was surprised at how cold it got during the night so hopefully you'll not be caught out by a cold snap.
CharlieH
Easy to find camp ground, fair facilities/showers etc. Little row of stalls selling almost anything you might need, beer, noodles, and whatever you might want to BBQ As said above gets really cold during the night up there. Have fun, enjoy !
Briggsy
If you do any forest walks, and like to sit on logs, admiring the view, please ensure you check your skin for ticks over the next few days. Nam Nao has lots of wildlife, so it has its fair share of ticks. It is certainly one of Thailand's premium National Parks.
MRToMRT
If its serenity and nature you are looking for, then be aware it is very popular at weekends - a weekday would be a more "natural" experience
