Well we know that red-shirt leaders lie like pigs in shi-t, don't we, as evidenced by

"DSI chief Tharit Pengdit said former Pol Lance Corporal Bandit Sitthitum, 43, and Supanat Ui-yawet, 43, were paid 500,000 baht by Pol Lt Col Supachai Tuikaewkam, whose wife, Juriporn Sintuprai, is a red-shirt leader from Pattaya."

I can't post a link, but a Google on rpg + "emerald buddha" will get you there easily.

DSI Tharit said that Muramoto was shot by the army, then the red shirts, then the army - your point is?

Take note anyone - the report doesn't support phiphidon's preconceived notion of what happened that day so clearly the reporter and photojournalist (oddly labeled as 'photojournalists' by phiphidon) must be writing fiction and not be truthful at all.

Now where did I remember some posters being outraged at any such speculation or accusation against a photojournalist before, even after he ended up professing his allegiance and bias...

Here is the URL again for those that haven't read it yet: http://www.atimes.co...a/LE29Ae02.html

Ah, so you spotted the similarities...................in case you missed it I was pointing out exactly what you've said above, never mind.

Anyone who would suggest the "elites" would pay someone to blow up the Emerald Buddha is either an idiot or knows absolutely nothing about... things.

Do some investigation before you label people as idiots. The Defence Ministry is rather a large building that was in the line of sight from the point of fire to the emerald buddha. The convicted policeman offered that up as his first "confession" about the target. He would have needed an emerald seeking rpg round to hit it and I'm not sure that they exist.

Actually the "Emerald Buddha" is not emerald, but jade ...

As conspiracy theory it's a fine one. May I add this?

Former policeman jailed 38 years for firing RPG rocket at Defence Ministry

December 13, 2011 2:14 pm

The Criminal Court Tuesday sentenced a former policeman from Sakaew to 38 years in jail after convicting him in firing an RPG rocket at the headquarters of the Defence Ministry last year.

The court ruled that public prosecutors had strong evidences and convincing witnesses to prove that Pol Lance Corporal Banthit Sitthithoom, 44, in firing a rocket-propelled grenade at the Defence Ministry on March 20 last year.

The court convicted Banthit in five counts of charges and sentenced him to a total of 38-year imprisonment.

You can and I'd like to add this (just for conspiracy theory sakes)

Ex-policeman held in RPG case

By The Nation

Published on May 1, 2010

An ex-policeman has been arrested in the March 20 rocket attack on the Defence Ministry.

Police said he was a high profile suspect found to have been implicated in eight previous bomb attacks throughout Bangkok.

The suspect Bundit Sitthichum confessed he had actually tried to fire the rocket-propelled grenade at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha located not far away but the rocket missed the target as it hit electric wire nearby, said chief of Department of Special Investigation Tharit Pengdit.

Bundit allegedly said a man with ties to a political party paid him Bt500,000 to carry out the attack on the historic and symbolic landmark, Tharit said in a press conference.

The lone RPG round hit power wires and deflected off them before hitting the Defence Ministry which is located opposite the temple. After a police press conference announcing Bundit's arrest, the redshirted leaders spoke at the rally site at Rajprasong intersection that Bundit was paid by the government to lure the public into believing that red shirts were behind the attack.

It's tied to Thailands History, good / bad luck, the basis and legitimacy of the current system, and tied to a great many madly superstitious things believed by far too many. If you don't think so, then think on the prevalence of amulets and tattoos on so many people.

If you consider the Emerald Buddha is like an amulet for the entire people, what kind of group mental shift might be caused by destroying it? Causing the 'Ending Of An Era' type thinking. Psychotic Psych-Ops in taking over a nation.

As to "elites".

There are two main battling ELITES fighting for the peasantries devotion and mental control as a voting mechanism of national control. If one thinks in terms of superstitions and religious feelings, hitting the Emerald Buddha is a game changer alone. All depends who who gets the blame / credit.

Since this guy blew it, then the luck remained with those that have it now.

Since the country is apparently going through a form of group madness at present, to think that one demented faction might think that blowing up, or just severely damaging, the Emerald Buddha, might change the luck to their side, or at least diminished the perceived luck, stature, or sense of omniscience, of the side they oppose, is not beyond comprehension.

And I suppose Chalerm DOES have evidence to back up this latest assertion - as always?

Or is it yet another diversionary tactic?

These negative thoughts, think positive! Mind you, I'm still waiting for the details on a few other cases k. Chalerm promised more information within <any amount of time>. Which reminds me, how many red-shirts were dumped in temple graveyards in Rayong?

No, read your reply again and still can't find any link between red shirt bodies in Rayong temple graveyards and the OP "Men in black are Policemen, Chalerm claims" ,so once again :offtopic: .

I have at times been told I am off topic and I find a gentle reminder normally works without getting moderators involved - it does help the ebb and flow of debate if people remain on topic though without trying to score political points.

You're asking the wrong guy - Try Rubl, he was the originator of the off topic remark about graves, redshirts ,and Rayong. If you find out, let me know, he never explained.

With Dept. PM Pol. Capt. Chalerm being is charge of various pressing matters, including 'men in black', 'the death of the Japanese reporter', 'amnesty for <some|all|the one only>', it's only natural to assume that with a topic of

"Police suspect they have found bodies of missing reds

Police will examine the 169 bodies found buried at two temples in Rayong province to determine if they could be the red-shirt protesters said to have gone missing during last year's riots."

our esteemed Dept. PM will soon provided details as we're already waiting for four months. Surely this Thai Sherlock Holmes will be able to at least give details on all red-shirts missing since the March - May 2011 'criminal association' <_<

Kudos to Chalerm for finally identifying the origins of the mysterious men in black. They are the Red on the outside, Red on the inside, "tomatoes".

Illuminating also that cops also took out Sae Daeng, which would explain the precise sniper head shot had to be well-trained.

He added that the mastermind behind these groups was now suffering from Parkinson's disease.

A much-welcomed update to the formerly ubiquitous and over-used, "his name begins with the letter "S"."

The politicos have now progressed to naming chronic ailments as the preferred roundabout means of identifying the accused. I eagerly await the line, "I'm not at liberty to say who she is, but she's morbidly obese."

he seems to know everything

If there's any doubt that he does, just ask him and he'll tell you.

Can't wait for him to become PM after Yingluck collapses.

Sae Daeng's Daughter Presents New Evidence

Pheu Thai party-list MP Khattiya "Dear" Sawatdipol yesterday presented new evidence to police about the killing of her father, red-shirt Khattiya "Seh Daeng" Sawasdipol.

Before talking to Pol Colonel Wicharnwat Borirakkul, deputy chief of Metropolitan Police Division 1, Dear told reporters that the information she obtained corroborated Deputy Prime Minister Chalerm Yoobamrung's claim that the killing was carried out by police.

She declined to say anything about the rank of the officer involved pending her testimony to police investigators.

Dear said she would give police information from witnesses to the shooting of Seh Daeng near Bangkok's Sala Daeng Intersection on May 15, 2010, during a red-shirt rally.

Over the past one year and eight months, the situation has improved, more and more people dared to speak out and she received videos and witness testimonies, she said.

She expressed confidence that the justice system would punish the wrongdoer.

Wicharnwat said police would soon interview four or five more witnesses, while the ballistics test had been performed by the Forensic Science Institute. There has been some confusion as to whether the sharpshooter was positioned at the Dusit Thani Hotel or Chulalongkorn Hospital.

The daughter needs to learn the new system. It's not about vaguely alluding to rank or the first initial of the accused's name. She should have said,

She declined to say anything about what chronic ailment the officer involved had pending her testimony to police investigators.

The Red Shirts and Army was 'at war'. In the midst there was now, seemingly, Police Officers, unable to do anything about the riots but still sneaking around, doing one single targeted killing.

Mere days after pro-Red posters once again highly celebrated notice that seemingly a lot of police officers was pro-Red and pro-Thaksin.

O-well.
