A New Launcher Coming For Android

Featured Replies

Android has many launchers and I have installed quite a few of them. But this one, NOT YET RELEASED, blows all of them away, and makes the Iphone launcher completely crap.

What do you think?

hmmm...I have an android for about 6 months and now I learn what a launcher is...my apps still fit on three of the four screens...

I've used SPB Shell 3D on an SGS2. It is incredible.

It is nice, but way overpriced. Wonder what the price will be for this other one.

I'm quite happy with sense, can't see the need if you have an HTC

totster :D

That thing's got serious featuritis.

I like: Contact widgets. That's cool. And moving icons between the screens in the diagonal layout is also nice.

Other than that: A huge number of completely useless features that look like shiny, colorful, garbage. A bit like those "3D" Linux desktop managers. Sorry to be so harsh but this looks to me like a tech project with no designers involved, or at least no good ones. The icons are offensive.

The features themselves are of questionable usability - thank God, finally I am able to tilt my icons and make my screens look like crap... I've been waiting for that. And because it's so easy to make a mess, they've included auto-arrange functions. Kinda had to. A weather icon where the city can collapse into the ground or pop up from the ground - how very useful. Don't get me wrong I don't mind fancy effects but only if they fulfill two criteria: They don't get in the way of usability; and they look good. A large number of "features" in this demo fail miserably on both accounts.

It is nice, but way overpriced. Wonder what the price will be for this other one.

Yes it is incredible; I've only used on colleague's phones, but a lot of the features are rolled into ICS so maybe not worth it now?

Yea, I hate options this will fail because everyone thinks like me, complete waste of time and effort, just give me one choice so im not bothered by things like this....

QT is nice I hear

Very vry nice, with some custom themes this will be the ultimate launcher indeed.

A little too Vegas for my taste...

I'll stick with ADWLauncher EX
