Baht Bus

Featured Replies

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum. I have been to Thailand six times now, and to Pattaya five of the six.

I want to but a Jomtien condo, but I want to know about any kind of transportaion between Jomtien

and Pattaya short of buying a car or motorbike. I'd like to be able to freely get to Pattaya and back

after a night of partying safely without risk of crashing or DUI.

Specifically Tappraya Rd, and or Thepprassit Rd.

Thanks in adbvance.

The title is the answer: baht buses cover the area you want; tons of them. And, overall, they're cheap & safe. Good luck, krap.

The only issue may be that there are fewer of them late at night, and will want significantly more money because there are fewer paying passengers.

In the high season you can get a song teow back to Jontien as late as midnight. They will wait for passengers at the corner of 2nd road and Pattaya South.

We had that problem a few times. Late at night, they tend to only want a single customer or group. And charge quite a bit for that.

How far down Thepprasit do you want to go???? The baht bus will only drop you at the corner, unless chartering it for yourself.

And you are right to be cautious. Lots of accidents there at night, as well as plenty of police check points. sad.gif
