Too late maybe, but the answer is:

Dabar on Second Road opposite the entrance to Central Festival shopping mall. Good South Indian food by south Indian chefs. It's a bit pricier (about 30% more) than the equally good Dosa King on Sukhumvit soi 11 in Bangkok, but it's good authentic stuff. Eat your Masala Dosa with a great fiery chick pea curry - not 100% sure of the name but think it was Makkanah curry or some such. Wash it down with a salted Lassee yoghurt drink. Mmmm.
