New Years Celebrations

Featured Replies

Hi all locals,

Me and my wife are coming down to Pattaya over New Years and I wonder where is the best place to be late night and at midnight. What should we not miss?

All answers and advice welcome!

go to the roof restaurant of the Markland hotel on soi 1 and beach road. Great view with a nice meal. If you want to be in the thick of it, go to Bali Hai pier.

If you like to live dangerously Soi 7 is a BLAST, eye protection recommended!

Last year saw one of those big mortars fall over and explode in a bar.

Actually I think it was the wrong way up.

Jeeez KevKev! Now we know where we´re not going! I like fireworks but I hate it when they explode behind my back.... I want to come back home in one piece.

Glad I am leaving Pattaya tomorrow and celebrating new year down south.

Been to downtown Pattay once for New Years. Never again. I also do not fancy trips to frontlines in Iraq either.

I would defiantly recommend a view of the bay at Midnight, trouble is you will have people letting off fireworks from just about any part of the beach. Would think the Beer Garden must be one of the best spots, but expect it would be rammed, don't know if they do anything special for new years maybe tickets?
