Chong Sa Ngam Border To Nearest Train Station

Featured Replies

Grateful for any advice for how I would best be able to get from the Chong Sa Ngam border crossing with Cambodia to the nearest train station on Thailands Northeastern rail line.

What station would this be? How much could I expect to pay? How long it would take? is there a bus or any other transport to take me from the borde - if no bus then do taxis hang out waiting there?

Any advice gratefully received

1. be nice and understanding to potential answers: tell what border is close to/ dfo you think we have some magic brain to know that all?

2.the site talesofasia.com is the best for ALl Khmer-TH borderposts and what transpo is available at both sides.

3. dont be so hang up on those always late trans- there will be a much more direct nighbtus into BKk from the nearest smaller town along a main road. NO -there will be no timetbales- if they exist at all, they will only show tmes dep. from starting (UBol, Buriram or whatever)

4. what it cost: depends on class of bus/train and what type of train-think of somewhere like 500/800 THB-and again: if you really would need to worry if you can pay Thai fares-youd better stay home alltogether. if you do not know how to haggle and have to use some motosay or tukx2 border-into near town, it may very well cost more. Most likely fares on the Khmer side will be higher.

4. 1 thing you can be very, very sure of; there will be NO taxi's in the sense you may think of them- but TH is famous for its enormous assortment of other means to transprot people./
