freedomnow
Can anyone suggest best digs for around 10k Baht per month Niman. Road area please ? 1-bed or big studio I guess. I like low-rise about 5 floors...cosier. Is it too noisy there ? Best to be 1 KM away etc ?
anselpixel
I live in the neighborhood now, and don't really find it to be all that noisy, except on Friday night. You can live in PK Mansion for 6K a month, and never even hear a gecko. If you try, you can site yourself near an after-hours bar, but why bother? There are a lot of decent facilities available in Nimman, all at good prices, and many well-insulated from the night life.
freedomnow
Think I'll just foot soldier around there when I arrive.Staying 3KM away first month.Best just to see in person. 6k a month? That is great .Must be a year or 6-month lease and less that 45m2 ?
freedomnow
Found their facebook page, not bad for the money. http://www.facebook....221987294527660 Only site I found was :- http://chiangmai.thaiapartments.net/ Like a veranda myself, wifi a must and a bit bigger.......wooden floors always a bonus but it seems it is ceramic mortuary tiles all the way in LOS....and no cooking facilities in studios. What's that about ? Yes, food is cheap but it is always nice to slap up some of your own recipes now and again! You can buy a small rice cooker, slow cooker and electric frying pan, with steamer, put them on a table or something by the window. Combine with a microwave and juicer and you'll be amazed at what you can cook up..
el jefe
Let's summarize. The OP wants a relatively large apartment with a balcony, wifi, and a kitchen. It has to be quiet and preferably with wooden floors. All for 10k baht. That's a lot of requirements in the most expense part of the city. Some compromise is going to be necessary. Good luck. I know I'm not going to get kitchen, wooden floors.Just an observation on the style sub-20k.Did not know it was most expensive area.
jackr
..and no cooking facilities in studios. What's that about ? Probably more a case of not having gas for safety. The more expensive places may have electric hobs.
