DEVATSAR Posted January 1, 2012 Share Posted January 1, 2012 Hi all Looking for advice, just planted 15 pappaya seeds, put them in compost bought out here, covered them in small plastic bags (mini green house) Do they need to be put in shade or in sun ? how long will they take to germinate out here ?. their in 2 inch pots at this time, what is the next potting on step ou would advice. seabear Posted January 2, 2012 Share Posted January 2, 2012 I stick any seeds I find, in with planting soil filled plastic bags (diameter about 6 cm) I water them 1 time per day and then I just wait. No direct sunshine. When I think the plants are big enough, and I have free time, I put them in bigger pots. On Dec. 16 I hung an avocado pit in a water glass.(see picture) In a few days I'll put it into soil. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
seabear Posted September 4, 2012 Share Posted September 4, 2012 (edited) Got and ate the first fruit from my avocado tree. Looks like a small cucumber and is seedless. Tasted OK. A little bitter.
