Blackberry Playbook

Featured Replies

I own a playbook in the USA and seems like there is no app yet to use a Thai keyboard or use Thai fonts on it. I read on the internet that Thailand is supposed to be selling them and wondering if they have Thai keyboard/fonts? I wish to give mine to a family member later in Feburary if there was some way to get it to have a Thai keyboard/fonts. Any suggestions/knowledge/help would be greatly appreciated.

I've seen some BB Playbook on demonstration in various malls and even in telecom shops like AIS so I guess they have a Thai version on it. However, it might not be through an app but rather by using a regionalized version of the OS. I wouldn't rely on Mall salesman to give advice on this anyway

Best bet would be that someone drops at MBK ans asks over there.

I have yet to see a Playbook "in the wild", it wasn't very successful.

BB Playbook does not have the function to support Thai font. It may have the capabilities to recognise Thai font in websites, but that's as far as it can go. I've also got a BB Playbook, which I much prefer to those TV things people carry around call an iPad, but unfortunately I don't think RIM has any plans to provide for South-East Asian font in the near future either.
