Perhaps because those married to a Thai may have a more pressing reason to be in Thailand long term?

I currently have a wp, and it was issued on the non imm O last year June.

As I recall, I'm allowed to work on a non imm O, and can get a wp on it, because

I am married and have children here.

Thats what we (I and my Office Manager) weret told last year.

I did go to immigration here in BKK a few weeks ago, to enquire about this, but the lady official was

very unfriendly and unhelpful, even though I was only number 9 that morning.

She was very curt, so I couldn't have it all explained to me.
