I had thought that my visa needed to be renewed next week but I just realized that my visa expired two days ago (10th). I have a non-immigrant b visa that I have already done 3 border runs with so technically I still have another 3 months left. I'm headed to Mae Sai tomorrow in hopes of just paying the fine and then re-entering and getting the final three months. Is this correct or can they revoke my visa for overstaying and not allow me to re-enter with the non-b visa?

Any help in easing my worries would be appreciated...thanks!

Paying the overstay shouldn't be a problem. But, remember, the last entry mist made before the expiration date on your visa. If it's a 1 year visa and you have already made three border runs, and now overstay, you're really cutting it close.

You appear to have (have had?) a multi entry non immigrant B visa and technically you can use such a visa anytime during the validity of one year to enter for up to a 90 day stay (the number of times is only limited by the validity). If the visa itself has expired it is invalid and you will not be able to use for a new entry. If that is the case you will ge a 15 day visa exempt entry if from a country allowed that.

thanks for your reply...When you say 'visa expires' are you referring to the date 'admitted until' that was stamped on my last entry? That is the date that I'm referring to that I missed two days ago. Or is it the date that is stamped into the the visa 'must be utilized before'? That date is Dec. 28, 2011.

Yeah, I was obviously getting the dates mixed up and as a result looks like I lost the last three months of my visa. So I will be able to get a 15 day visa on re-entry no problem even though I overstayed? I'm a US citizen...thanks for the help

Thanks for clearing this up for me. One last question. The overstay is for the date 'admitted until' that was stamped on my last entry and not when the visa expired correct?
