PATTAYA: -- Two Russians, claiming to be brother and sister have been arrested by Immigration Police, accused of multiple counts of theft from various hotels around Pattaya. A press conference at the Pattaya Immigration office was held to announce the arrest of Mr Denis Skvortsov aged 31 and Miss Antolina Pavlova aged 23. Items thought to have been stolen by the pair, including foreign currency, wrist watches, Visa cards and perfumes were on-show and a number of the victims were also present. The pair was known to have committed the crimes at hotels such as The Hard Rock and Bella Express and they would use one of three methods. The first would involve renting a room and waiting for cleaning staff to arrive at the neighboring room. The pair would pretend to occupy the room and wait inside until the cleaners had finished. The second would involve Miss Pavlova meeting with a guest and going back to their room for sex. At some point she would steal items herself or would steal the room key allowing her brother to return at a later time to steal items.
