bozy
Hi everyone, after consideration and the replies from Scouser,we will applying for a settlement visa. My question is:-after a 1 year stay in the uk we then return to Thailand and stay for at least 2 years(which is the period that makes your visa invalid) If we decide to return to uk after this period do we need to re-apply for a visa and if so what visa can then we apply for and will there be any problems? ie:-can you apply for a settlement visa twice? The reason for the first settlement visa is so we can spend 1 whole year in the uk,so the wife can get a real feel for the place before we make a decision on what country we want to live in and also for what education we want for our daughter. many thanks bozy
the scouser
Bozy, Yes, you can apply for a settlement visa twice. The only gripe a visa officer could have is that your wife didn't settle in the UK when first issued with a settlement visa. However, I would suggest that this would be more than outweighed by your relationship, and, ultimately, is a fairly minor point. Providing that you satisfy the requirements of the immigration rules, there is no obvious reason why your wife should not be successful a second time. Scouse.
