Chinese New Year Festivities go horribly wrong at South Pattaya Supermarket

A Chinese Dragon display went terribly wrong on Monday afternoon at a South Pattaya Supermarket and one man is now fighting for his life in hospital. The incident occurred at the Friendship Supermarket on the South Pattaya Road, who joined many other venues, who were celebrating the Chinese New Year. In their car park area a team from Nakhon Sawan Province called “Mongol Tong” was in the middle of a Chinese Dragon Performance and reached the part of the show where the men operating the dragon heads had to race each other to the top of a 25 meter high pole.

The news story erroneously reports it as a 25 meter pole but it was cleary a 25 FOOT pole.
