To get a 1 year marriage visa do I need my own bank account or is a joint account with my wife ok

Are you talking about one year extension of stay or Consulate 90 day visa valid for one year of entries?

For extension of stay it seems they want in your name only now (although suspect they might accept double the amount in a joint account). But you might find they allow so ask if you want to go that way.
