Police impersonator and suspected sexual abuser caught by Police in Pattaya

PATTAYA: -- Police arrested a Police impersonator on Thursday evening, accused of sexually assaulting an 18 year old female construction worker.

Police Colonel Somnook, the Banglamung Police Chief, announced the arrest of Khun Tawatchai aged 37 from Rayong Province, on the strength of arrest warrant number 47/2555 dated 26th January. The warrant states that on 17th January he is accused of entering a constructor’s campsite on Highway 36 where he posed as a Police Officer and detained an 18 year old woman and her 19 year old Husband and stated they would be taken to the Police Station for drug testing.

The two complied and entered his car but the Husband was told to return to his dwelling and take their Thai ID cards. When he left the car, Khun Tawatchai is alleged to have driven off with the woman to a nearby field where he is alleged to have sexually assaulted her.
