January 28, 201214 yr I've got a single entry non immigration Education visa. I want to leave Thailand for a holiday and then come back into Thailand and still be on the education visa. Is this possible and if so how? Can I change the single entry into a multiple entry or is there another way? Also, am I able to extend the visa after the first 90 days by reporting to immigration (with documents from education place) for another 90 days (up to a year) even though it is a single entry? Thanks.
January 28, 201214 yr You can extend with paperwork and it will cost 1,900 baht each time. You can leave/return on your 90 day stay with a re-entry permit at 1,000 baht but it only provides your original permitted to stay until date (you will not be allowed extra time or be able to return later than your current permitted to stay stay). You can not change your visa. If you qualified you could obtain a new visa, or do the normal 90 day extension of stay.

Thanks! So if the current 90 days ends on April 30 as long as I am back in Thailand before April 30 and have a re-entry permit I will be ok? Where do I get a re-entry permit from? Thanks again.
January 28, 201214 yr Local immigration office. As said you return for the same permitted to stay date so if you arrive on 29th and permitted to stay is 30th you do not have much time to arrange an extension or new visa trip.
January 28, 201214 yr Author Is this the form I need for the re-entry permit: Re-Entry Permit into The Kingdom Application Form (TM.8) from this page: It doesn't say what supporting documents I need. Any ideas? I am in Bangkok so will be going to Chaeng Wattana I think. Although on this page: it says: Service for Re-entry permit online by Stop & StampContact at Immigration Division1 (Soi SuaPlu , Satorn Rd.) Does that mean I can do it online? Thanks.
January 28, 201214 yr No but you can submit online for Saturday morning processing/pickup at the old Suan Plu office. Normal service would be from Chiang Watanna if in Bangkok and there is also service at airport after check-in operating 06-2400 but would only used that as last chance emergency. Believe photo and normal passport data/visa/stay stamp and departure card copies.
January 28, 201214 yr Author Thanks for the info. Will give it a go online before I leave the country. Cheers.
