Non-Imm "O". When Do I Need To Renew?

Featured Replies

Here is the specifics.

Non-imm O, multi, issued Jan 11.

My last use was stamping into the kingdom on 30 Dec 11, and stamped out on 19 Jan 12.

My visa was not stamped "used".

I will return to the Kingdom on 6 Mar 12. Duration unknown.

I "think" my visa expires 90 days from my last stamp in on the 30th of Dec. if that's the case then I'm due a visa run on 28Mar.

However my entry stamp for a US citizen gives me 30 days from the 6th. So I'm looking at a visa run before the 5th of Apr in this scenario.

I would like someone to advise me. When do I need to do my visa run?

Thanks

What is the 'use by' date on the visa itself? That's the last date the visa is valid. any entries after that will be visa exempt entries unless you go to a consulate and get a new visa.

Whenever you enter, you'll get a 'permission to stay' date stamped in your passport. That is the day you have to leave (visa run).

With no visa, you'll get a visa exempt entry when returning. You'll get 30 days if you enter by air, or 15 days if you return by land.

Your dates don't make a lot of sense, unless the visa was issued on Jan 11, 2011. You could't be "stamped into the kingdom" 12 days before the visa was issued. If that is the case, your visa is expied and when you re-enter on 6 Mar without a new visa, you will get a 30 day visa exempt entry that will be valid until 4 April so you will have to exit on or before that date to make your visa run. The day that you enter is counted as day 1.

If your visa was issued in jan 2011 it will be expired in jan 2012...so you have to apply for a new visa or enter on a 30 day visa exempt for ex.

Your visa will obviously expire/expired in January 2012 so can not be used after that date. Such visas have no need to be stamped used as they expire on the date indicated, not by a set number of uses.
