Ubc Tv

Featured Replies

Living in hang dong & renting a house for 6 mths till we find something more permanent. Would like UBC tv, how do I go about getting it?

Is it cable or satellite dish? & is set up etc free?

When I move in 6 mths is it easy to take with me if a satellite dish?

Any comments/ views much appreciated.

You can get everything you need at Siam TV in town.

Sorry, but I dont know what road its on, but one that links the moat.

If you move they will move everything for you, but you will have to pay.

I am sure someone else on the forum can explain exactly how to find them.Good Luck

In that region it will be satellite dish. You can apply online and get all the cost information here: http://www.ubctv.com/eng/getubc_main.aspx

Office next to Electronic Plaza

... which will be about 250 meters north of the main entrance to Wat Phrasingh ...

Monthly packages seem reasonable enough, but disappointed about installation fee.

Sure in UK it's free if you sign up for 12 mths??

Would like in time for Christmas, so will have to go with it.

They always have these 'promotions' that are different every 2 months or so. Sometimes they wave (part of) the installation fee, sometimes they give you a 'free' TV, DVD player, audio system, etc.

A bit silly really. If I want a TV I buy a TV. If I want cable I just want them to charge the money they need for it and quit playing silly games.

Also, now that they apparently allow commercials to be shown instead of the insipid Red Screen of Death, I would expect them to lower their monthly rates.

(That was a morbid joke, in case it needs pointing out. :o

That's all the info I need, thanks.

I'll ring them & see if there's any flexibility on installation....They do want my business surely :o

Just had it installed at my house. Called one day and it was installed the next. 4000 B for the equipment. it went very quickly, It was nice not to have to wait for weeks for the cable guy like in the states....

4,000 is cheap. It cost me, as I recall, 14,000 baht to get UBC a few years ago...

Think I paid about 12K for home and 8 or so for the business.
