It wasn't the ordeal that it seemed to be in the past judging by the previous comments. I guess the wife can be (granted?) a stay of up to 6 months depending on the hormones of the Homeland Security Agent.

After those 6 months can the wife just go to Bermuda roundtrip and get another potential 6 months on the return to the U.S. ??

thanks

if the visa has the usual validity of 10 years it might work. but it depends on the individual immigration officer to grant entry and questions will be definitely asked because the screen in front of the officer shows exactly how much time your wife has spent in the U.S. some of these officers are quite nice, others are nasty²!

it is therefore highly advisable that you apply for a spouse visa and have your wife, whenever she is travelling, carrying copies of the pending application including all supporting documents (copy of your passport, SS#, marriage certificate, etc.)

Great link. Thanks.

I don't think she and the kids will be there for more than 4 months but if things changed I was just wondering if she could do the visa run.

We've been married 6 years and have 3 kids (all 3 have U.S. passports). Can she start the I-130 in The States?

Edit: While in The States on the B-2 tourist visa
