I just updated to Firefox 10 from Firefox 9.0.1.

I was pleasantly suprised. All my favorite extensions still worked! I didn't have to make changes to the extensions to make them compatible.Firefox now automatically marks add-ons as compatible with the browser without requiring add-on developers to code support by hand. The browser also automatically checks for add-on updates every 24 hours.

Thanks for the info on extensions. I've been getting the update message but have been holding off allowing it as I'm not ready to spend the time 'fixing' the extensions at the moment.

I have used Firefox since their first edition. Just updated yesterday to the 10th edition. Never had a problem with Firefox. Would take IE off computer except some third party programs use parts of IE to work. Urge non-users to try it for a few months. If not happy with it, remove it.

On the rare occasions I have to use IE its just getting worse. Been using FireFox since it was Netscape and was laughed at!

Updated to firefox 10, only FDM (Free Download manager) was incompatible. No update for just add on. Replaced FDM 3.8 with 3.9 Build 1194 and add on is now good through Firefox 12 ( that should be ok for the next couple of weeks then !!)

So much for the extension universal compatibility. I just allowed the update. dry.png

Yes, you will get those dialog boxes on installation. But if you continue on, you find they are enabled and usable along with any other extensions (compatible with 4+) that were disabled due to incompatiblity.
