I come by some thin wall steel now and then and would love some small rod on hand. 2.6mm is a little heavy for 1mm Or I'll just have to purchase a MIG. Looking for some general purpose. 6011 7014 1.0mm SMAW electrodes dont exist, smallest is 1.6mm SMAW electrodes are not really suitable for trying to weld 1mm material thickness....you will burn through a lot....GTAW (TIG) or GMAW (MIG/MAG) would be far better...but cost is a lot more for equipment wire spools, gas, tungstens etc Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
