Cost Of Small Apartment

Featured Replies

Hi,

I may be moving down to Bangkok weekdays with work and will be looking for a modest apartment, 1 or 2 bed in the Bang BO area.

Furnished or not but must have decent TV and net access.

I have no clue as to accommodation costs down that way.

What should I be expecting to pay for such?

Advice appreciated.

Hello.

I don't know your expectation in terms of luxury but i had 3 different appartments yet in bkk, On Nhut, Later Phrao and Tong Lor. I rented between 3000 and 6000 baht per month. Was furnished and with TV.

Internet flat is 800 baht per month.

Thanks for the info.

3000 to 6000 was roughly what I would be looking for. As long as it's clean I don't mind too much.

I was down in Bang Bo area today for a look round. Doesn't seem to be much in the way of apartments in the immediate area so may have to extend the search area a bit. Bang Na not quite far enough out for quick commute.

Edit:

Sorry just saw that you looking especially fot that area. Yeah its quite far what i mentioned, so sorry .-)

Dont even have to read the following then...

If you want BTS access and all that, i think a good area (and not expensive) is On Nhut. Theres BTS, theres the Lotus supermarket, Carrefour also, nearly no tourists but if you like them you have it only 10 minute with BTS to Sukumvit.

So its really nice area imo. Like Soi 81 or the paralell road to the Sukhumvit Soi cornering there. There are many motorbike taxis everywhere too so its very very covenient.

Theres also a big food-market in the area, maybe more if you count the Carrefour Area street-markets too.

In On Nhut theres an Apartment blocl called Bookyapitak, romms are between 3000 and 6500 with TV. And they have elevators. Doesnt look well from outside but the rooms are really nice and clean. They have public washing mashines but also a small balcony for a own one.

Another thing would be the mentioned Nana Plaza but its services apartment. But really nice if you already watched the homepage i put the link here

Prices can't be quoted for flats with bedrooms, to varied. I would think somewhere between 15-30k up.

Nice, clean flats 27-30sqm can be had starting about B4500-7000 depending on amenities and so called amenities. That should include: parking, security, elevator, basic furniture, hot water. Maybes: minimal cable stations, fridge. Good balconies are not easy to come by as well as flats with windows.

Power usually runs B7 unless you you have in your name or renting from condo owner charging you proper price (B4).

* I would stay away from low end rooms as the security from my surveys never looks good. Bldg should be clean and well maintained, if not - signs of trouble. Move on. Cheap is not cheap if you get your kit ripped off.
