Bug Bite Maybe?

Featured Replies

i woke up yesterday morning with what felt like a bug bit on my face, left cheek. it continued to hurt a bit all day. now i wake up this morning and my face is swolen around my left eye.

i don;t know if it will just go away of if i should see a doc. the doctors around here are pretty useless so i would probably have to go to samui to get a decent opinion.

what do you think? anyone had anything like this?

in can happend, in case u have a sign of allergy with that toxin

take antihistamine as Chlorpheniramine 1 tab 3-4 times a day

(and/or short course of steroid as Prednisolone)

- if still hurt ,pain killer as Acetaminophen is useful (paracetamol/tylenol..)

I hope you get well soon :o

Would agree with bambi, regarding both Paracetamol and anti-histamine. The Paracetamol should help reducing the swelling and ease the pain, anti-histamine will help with itchiness. You could also apply "Tiger Balm" as well to soothe the affected area.

Generally most problems occur due to scratching, rather than the actual bite.

If you find this doesn't help or the symptoms get worse after 3 days, then it is definitely time to start seeking medical advise.

Hope you feel better soon
