Dusit Pattaya Area

Featured Replies

1-lovely look out area seems to be open to the public during the day, no one ever questioned this non-guest about hanging out, sitting and sunning

i think it would even be possible to (change cloths and) swim in their pool

what is their policy if any?

2-who created the walk way around the rocks connecting pattaya beach to nakulua beach and do you think there will ever any REAL (permanent) repairs

someone has been kind enough to do some hand work and guard rails

it has fallen apart badly in the last 2-3 years with another section falling away just recently

3-during high tide it is easy to get stuck on one side

they are none to happy if you cross their property after hours

4-be VERY careful walking around at night

all kinds of slime attracted to that area unfortunately

though it is a HIGH end district

5-there are two at least two beautiful public access walk ways with stairs to the nakulla beach

6-more later

The steps were constructed ages ago and have been falling apart the last 4 years. Meanwhile the herring- bone brick walkway that was completed ??? 7 years ago from Dusit Hotel down to Siam Penthouse Condo (along Wongamat Beach) has been mostly washed away from the high tides. Now an ugly eyesore. Once this "city project" was completed it was never maintained. Once the night lights were working along the walkway -5?years ago, they lasted about 3 months. So sad how the city will have these grand projects but make no effort to maintain them. The word "maintenance" or "up keep" doesn't seem to be in their vocabulary. It is definately a different way of thinking than Westerners when doing a project.
