I need to make a cooker and would like to get a large beer keg for it. Is there any way...rent a keg, throw a party, drink the beer and then loose the keg and pay for it to the distributor or whoever? Or is it something I might actually find to purchase. In my previous experiences I have found that distributors are very reluctant to let them go, at least in other countries. Any leads would be great....thanks. pg

Thanks Handydog....I didn't think of that. Actually I didn't know they made stainless steel LPG tanks...either would work great. I would imagine LPG tanks are a lot more common to get than beer kegs. Thanks again....pg

A metal shop will weld whatever you need. Just give them the specs and they can make it. There are many of the large oil drums available also but I have seen half sized ones at shops.
