Wellington
Sending 3000 bht for a birthday present for a relative in France,we came to a halt when, after completing the form we were asked for 1700bht commission. Staggering, more than 50%. Has anyone faced such a rip off from a major Thai Bank, branch in Central, name begins with A. ??

MissChris
What about those ATMs that accept cash and transfer for 20 THB? Or is that only in Thailand? Personally, when in Phuket, I use my offspring as my personal banker. He gives me THB in notes and I transfer on the internet from my bank account to his. No fees ))
