Pasties Of The South West Of England.

Its a bit like the Holy Graile, searching for the best pasties in the land. Found some good ones at "Naughty but Nice" in Axminster at one time and Ivor Dewdney's , Cornwall Street, Plymouth used to be good but last time full of potatoe!

The most consistent ones I found was in Dorset at a small village bakery, we would ring up and they would put them in the oven for us then leave them in abag for us to collect whilst they went out delivering bread, a throw back of times gone by! The pasties actually came from frozen from Newton Abbot but were very good.

Cornwall is the place, supposedly for the mini feast and there are so many to choose from, suspect any that put too much pepper in to be of poor quality.Falmouth had a good place on the hill leading out of town (The Green ?) opposite the bus station and Wetherspoons, cant remember the name but the flavour was good even though the price was always going up.

So many dissappointments in Cornwall, perhaps I just expected too much!

So where do you nominate as the pasties?
