jonnog
Does anyone know to what extent are English-language skills taken into consideration when applying for a tourist visa for a Thai wife? My wife speaks hardly any English (we speak Thai) but we - along with our 4-yr-old daughter - would like to go to visit my parents back in UK for a couple of weeks. Any advice would be much appreciated Thanks. J

rawhod
For a Tourist Visa there is no requirement to speak English. However, the on-line application and some documentation must be in English. Check which Thai documents require translation into English. For our successful Tourist Visa application in 2011 we did not have any Thai documents (divorce cert, tabian bahn, chanote, etc) translated.
