PATTAYA: -- Police have arrested a Briton for having allegedly sold drug to foreign tourists in Pattaya.

The arrest of Kurt Davit Silver 42, was announced at a press conference Monday at the Provincial Police Bureau 2 in Chon Buri by the bureau commissioner, Pol Lt Gen Panya Mamen.

Panya said Silver was arrested at his rented house in Pattaya following a tip-off by a foreign informant. Police found Bt500,000 worth of narcotics at the house. The found drug included 159 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 200 pills of methamphetamine, and 5.6 grams of ecstasy.

Silver told investigators that he worked for a British mafia, Heaton John Alexander who has fled.

Kurt Davit sounds truly British more American or German with Indian I would say, and the same about Heaton John Alexander (who the hell calls their son Heaton, bet he was popular at school).

But who cares, just send them to the Hilton and let them survive there.

British born South African suspected drug dealer caught by Pattaya Police

PATTAYA:--Police arrested a suspected South African drug dealer at his East Pattaya home on Monday morning. Police Lieutenant General Panya, the Region 2 Police Commissioner, led a press conference at Banglamung Police Station to announce the arrest of Mr. David Anthony England aged 41, a South African national who was born in UK.

He was caught during a raid of his house located at the Nam Jalern Village 2 in Soi Siam Country Club. An informant provided details of Mr. England’s activities and it is suspected he was transporting drugs from Dubai into Thailand. During the raid, 200 Yabba Tablets, 159g of Crystal Methamphetamine, 5.60g of Ecstasy Powder, 25.95g of Heroin and 11.80g of Ketamine Powder were seized along with a box of hypodermic needles and a box of empty medicinal capsules.

Mr. England claimed the drugs belonged to Mr. John Alexander Heaton who is reportedly from UK and resides at the Royal Green Park Village in Soi Kao Noi in East Pattaya. A further raid was organized but Mr. Heaton had reportedly fled before authorities arrived. He is now the subject of a manhunt and Immigration Border Police have been alerted.

Police confiscated 159 grammes of crystal methamphetamine, 200 methamphetamine pills, 5.6 grammes of ecstasy, 25.95 grammes of heroin, 11.8 grammes of ketamine, one box of syringes and 200 empty capsules, Gen Panya said.

According to the initial investigation, Mr Silver claimed that all the drugs belonged to another Englishman, Heaton John Alexander, whom he said was a leader of a syndicate and that the drugs were smuggled from Dubai in the United Arab Emirates into Thailand.

The detainee confessed that he sold drugs to foreign customers in the seaside resort town of Pattaya. He said that Mr Alexander lives in Pattaya and has 15 subordinates deliver the drugs to customers.

Following Mr Silver’s statement, police searched Mr Alexander’s residence in Pattaya, but he had eluded arrest.

Not clever, but it's supply and demand. Until the Thai Govt gets real about drug education and starts giving the youth of this country alternative ways to spend their time and energy class A consumption won't go away.....look at rural Thailand...there's absolutely bugger all for the kids to do except online gaming, racing honda waves and getting out of their heads on chemicals....you should take a look around here in the sticks of Satun.....f***ing scary!!! I agree with your "rural" comments. I grew up in Rhode Island in the USA. Used to spend a lot of summer vacations up in New Hampshire. In the 1970s, and late 1960's New Hampshire was very isolated, certainly in the winter time. The locals that I and my friends would run into really did drink and do a lot of drugs. The winters can be very boring to many kids. Some kids (like me) had the interest or ability to read and study and do scholastic things or had a big extended family ora fair amount of neighbors with kids nearby where we could play and get some stimulation. But the more rural areas are a chronic problem.

I am pro-legalization, but I am happy every time a big dealer is caught. Not the least for the reason that the people in the business is rarely nice business men, but ruthless criminals involved in a lot of bad things.

This said that the drugs came from Dubai and included Yaba. I thought yaba was purely south east Asian and made in SEA. Either way, I'm glad to hear another loser has met mis demise. Enjoy a future of brown rice, beatings and your married life with a new husband.

This is why no foreigners expecially those living in Thailand should drink in bars. You never know who you're sitting next to and who is filming it with a mobile phone . Plain clothes cops photograph locals and farangs everywhere including malls. Guilt by association.

This looks like thinning the competition while scoring press points and acquiring more "evidence" for the "locker." When was the last time a local other than a rogue or a mule was apprehended? When was the last time there was a transparent burning of evidence?" Trying to control the supply of drugs only benefits the suppliers. Eradication rests in throwing away the key on users. As demand subsides supply dries up. But then, what about all the budget and resources earmarked and increased annually for fighting drugs. Ooops, can't lose that, better try to arrest a drug dealer. Thank you notes should go out to Iran for the recent inbound ice traffic and subsequent photo ops.
