Creche, Nursery Or Friends....

Featured Replies

Hi Pattaya parents smile.png

Our daughter is 13 months and we think she should start to meet friends and other children.

Every time we go to the beach or in a crowded place, she is very interested in other babies or young children.

If I was in Europe or in the US, I would try to put her 1 or 2 afternoons per week in a creche or a nursery to help her to start socialising a little bit.

Here in Pattaya I absolutely don't know if these kind of places exist, and if I can trust them: I don't wish to discover problems and horrible stories afterward, if you see what I mean.

So this is my question: you who have young children, how do you manage this kind of things? Where do you go with your babies to help them to make (good) friends?

There as well another solution: if there are parents looking for other parents to spend time together during week ends, you can contact me: we will try to have our babies spending time together a little bit.

Thanks!

Stef

Wiggle Town on Sukhumvit just before Big C heading North used to do a special time for tots a couple of times a week but I don't know if Wiggle Town is still open?

I have girls 0f 3yrs and 18months

Central festival have a babies play area..

A Saturday creche or monitored play area would be great for us too, I don't know of any

Wiggle is still open and very busy with different groups every day

I wasn't sure as when I pass by it doesn't look open with 'Mr. Wiggles' not fluttering about. Maybe you could suggest a 'yes we're open' sign on the railings or something?

It's a good place to take your tots, especially to their age group focussed times.

And they're open Saturday too Starbooks.

Apparently the BIB wanted them to pay a fee to have that thing on the footpath and they are open 7 days now

OK, so after a couple of visits there, I can say Wiggle Town is GOOD.

They are open every day but most of the activities are concentrated on Monday morning and Wednesday morning. My daughter loves it and she can socialize and make friends there. Every session has something special: Easter bunny, songkran playing, big painting day... The assistants are good. It's not very expensive, 250 per day and they have member card with 10 visits for 2,000 Baht.

And as it is on Sukhumvit, you need a car to go there so it means it is not a place for tourists but really for people living here. Small detail, but it count for me. If I compare to the 2 baby playing place in Central Festival 4th floor, I prefer to send my baby to Wiggle: she will not play with different babies every week but really start to know people, to establish a relationship and make friends. I find it good for her personal education and personal balance.

Thanks to PattayaParent as Wiggle is definitely COOL.

my thanks to pattaya parent too. Would never have found it without that help. Very pleased with the way it is run and my 20 month old is now integrating quite well and enjoying her monday/wednesday visits. Shut for the next 2 weeks now.
