Where Can I Buy A Butchers/Cutting Block

Featured Replies

Unfortunately I have a small kitchen and don't seem to have much preparation space. If anyone knows where I can buy a butchers block or cutting block or similar in Chiang Mai I certainly would be very appreciative.

Thanks in advance.

Stand alone type?

Yes, stand alone is what I am after - cheers

seen many today in a shop, cutting blocks, all wood varying thickness from 1-2in thick, round, square, rectangular.prices ranged from 60bt to 180bt for the best.

from the nimmenhaemin road crossroads take the highway towards tesco but maybe 100m past the Tarin hotel and grandview hotel on the opposite carriageway LPG gas station- the shop is at the exit from the gas station.

if coming from Pratu chang puak,(or Big c) turn left onto superhighway past 5 or 6 bars and bbq places, then its on your left.

You'll find lots of "Thai" butcher blocks (the kind you see the street vendors chopping on) in the East side of the Narawat market. The streets around the market also have a bunch of kitchen supply places for more western style cutting boards.

Butcher block vs chopping block. http://en.wikipedia....i/Butcher_block What is the OP looking for?

Is the Narawat market the one near the river north of Tha Pae Rd?
