Hi

Im looking to make up to 20 calls a day. I need cheap but also good! So what should i get

Just wandering what the cheapest call tarrif is for mobiles. Presumably you need a post paid/contract. They used to have "buffet" services where you pay about 600 a month for unlimited calls

What are the good tarrifs now?

CAT telecom still good? - but need to buy a cdma handset? Anything better?

Maybe just have a look through the current promotions as these change quite often, and you haven't provided nearly enough information about your specific calling requirements and budget? Domestic? on-net/off-net? time of day? duration? fixed or mobile.

Maybe a fixed line might offer more/cheaper alternatives? Or a domestic calling card (If there is such a thing)?

For off-net calls you'll be hard-pressed to get much below 1 baht/min.

Many current buffet style promotions cover on-net calls only.

You should also look into the rounding on calls as this can really blow a budget if they round up to the next minute say, rather then the next 10 sec.

Will be a mix of calls to landlines and different mobile providers.

What telcomm company in TH rounds by the second?

Cat now has mybycat.com which is gsm 850mhz. But their highest package is only 800 min....maybe in future they will have more? They also have smartphone package with internet. Another option would be voip sip service like callcentric.com to make outbound calls. The trick is how to change your caller id to show your thai #.

Option 3 is ais 1-2 call. New customers have plan for 1 bt/min 24 hours or plans that are as cheap as 0.25 satang/min with low monthly fee all networks.

with any plan you can request mao mao 50% off call rate for 8bt per day. You would have to do this every day to get discount.

There is also mao-mao that has 0.75 bt/min 24 hours where you buy min ahead of time and you have xxx days to use them. You could try this out for a week before switching to a new plan.

But i think landline options/ voip might be cheaper overall.

I honestly do not know any details re: talk-time rounding. I was merely suggesting that the OP might want to look into this aspect. My best guess is that all service providers round up to the next higher minute. (This is based on my very rough analysis of my DTAC/Happy call log, which is available on the Happy eServices platform.)

I agree that the Cat My 800 minute (anytime, all networks) package for 428 baht might be the best plane both with regards to rates and ease of use. Many/most of the buffets are on-net only, and/or have off-peak usage times, neither of which seem to meet the OPs requirements. I assume he doesn't know which network the parties he is calling are on.

I quickly looked at the fixed line options and didn't see anything much below 1 baht/min. The domestic VoIP services, like TOT netcall have low rates, 0.35 baht/min but only to other fixed lines, and 1.50 baht/min to mobiles. I suspect the mobile interconnect fees prohibit lower-cost calls to mobiles? That's why the CAT My offer looks interesting, and the buffets are all on-net (so no interconnect fee).
