Help On 30 Day Visa

Featured Replies

Hi my names paul , I'm from the uk travelling to Thailand next Sunday.

I leave the uk on Sunday the 25th of march from heathrow to Mumbai. I then take a connecting flight from Mumbai to Bangkok arriving at 19.45 on the 26th at Bangkok airport.

I then stay in Thailand until the early hours on the 24th catching a flight home at 04.45.

My post is regarding the 30 day stamp visa I will get as a citizen. If I count the 26 as my first day with march being a 31 day month 30 days will fall exactly on my departure date.

Is the visa 30 days or less ? Does it count from the moment I leave London or arrival in Thailand ?

The reason I have left it so late is I was sure I would be fine but upon reading around the subject there is a lot of conflicting information on forums about not being able to board flights and such

Do you guys think I will be Ok ? Any help and definate knowledge would be greatly greatly appreciated

Thanks Paul

It starts upon arrival,it's not a visa but a visa exemption,so it will be 30 days from the day you arrive in Thailand the 26th.

Don't worry, you are within the limits and using the visa exempt as intended. I cannot see any problem.

Have a good time during your stay.

A recent picture of the stamp you will receive, notice I took full advantage of the 30 days also.

As above have a good time nothing to worry about.

The definitive answer. OP will be here for Songkran too.

That looks like exactly 30 days by my maths.

Not sure that being here for Songkran is a bonus though. bah.gif
