Today I received my new passport and old one was cancelled. I didn't give it any more thought until now after realizing my visa was cancelled with my old passport. I need to fly to KL tomorrow for work and was wondering if I'm going to get heat tomorrow at the airport or will they be ok when I show them my old passport with the visa (remembering that passport has been cancelled)?

A visa remains valid, just show both passports when leaving thailand and they will do all the work at the airport.

But if you are on an extension of stay from immirgation within Thailand, you might need to visit your immirgation office first to have your details transferd to the new passport.
