90 Day Report Only At Chaeng Wattana?

Featured Replies

Can anyone please advise if when reporting to the Imm Dept before or after 90 days is up and if living in Bangkok, must it be Chaeng Wattana that you must report to or can it possibly be done at Chamchuri or Suan Phlu Imm offices? Appreciate the advice.

You use the office your extension of stay is issued from - for most people in Bangkok (other than land border countries) that will be Chiang Watanna. But you do not have to do in person and mail is also an option. But if you have any banking to take care of find the branch locations below immigration to be very friendly and easy to use so a trip can be multi purpose.

Thank you lopburi3 for your answer and suggestion.

@ Lopburi3

You said "... But you do not have to do in person and mail is also an option..."

But my Thai language school tells me that 90-day extension can only be done in person.

Can someone provide further explanation ?

Is it safe to send passport by Royal Thai Post ?

You are talking about a 90 day extension.

We are talking about 90 day address reports. Two different things.

I report to Nonthaburi immigration out near Bang Bua Thong. I go in personally, but my wife's school have offered to take my passport in with them when they are doing the extensions for all their staff. I think that they are able to extend for their staff, but somebody is going in with the passports. I believe that Nonthaburi might be a little more "relaxed" than CW though.

ED visa is 1 year and every 3months ( or 90 days ? ) a student must report whereabout he/she is now ( by filling the current address in the form )

90 day address reports can be done in person, by post or by someone else on your behalf.

You mentioned Extension in your earlier post.

ED visa is 1 year and every 3months ( or 90 days ? ) a student must report whereabout he/she is now ( by filling the current address in the form )

Not true. And ED visa is either single or multi entry (valid for one year) and only allows a 90 day stay without exit. Only if you have a one year extension of stay (University study normally) would you just report address every 90 days (if no travel outside Thailand).
