Arrival With One Way Ticket Ok With Non Imm O Visa?

Featured Replies

Just curious....

The wife & I will be moving full time to Thailand & do not expect to take any trips for

at least a year or two back to the USA.

So we would rather not buy round trip tickets knowing the return half would be wasted.

Also I'm sure it will be fine for her with a one way ticket as she is Thai albeit with US citizenship

but entering Thailand on her Thai passport........

But for myself I notice while trying to book a one way trip online that I am cautioned

I could be refused boarding to some countries.

I am assuming that is just for folks without a visa prior to boarding.

Is that correct or do i need to buy a round trip & waste the return half?

I will be on a 90 day Non Imm type O based on marriage & converting

to a one year extension in the last 30 days of that...400k in bank etc.

Thanks for any information.

You will not have any problem traveling one way with a non-O visa.

Thanks for the confirmation !

Per above no problem.

If you move, have the wife import the houshold effects under her name. As a Thai returning to her home country she is exempt from import duties on most second hand household items.

Hello

I have twice flown in from the UK with a one way ticket and non-imm.O visa.

I didn`t have any problem.

Thanks Mario

We are taking only our suitcases

We have had a Condo & home in Thailand for a long time but usually only spend a

couple of months a year there. So not importing anything...Traveling light :)
