Visa On Arrival

Featured Replies

Hi, Im a little rusty on formalities forgive me. Im due to travel to Thailand 1st week in April for 3 weeks and it just occured to me if i need to apply for a visa from the UK before hand, or may I just arrive in Thailand as its only a short period of time and receive a VOA (visa on arrival)?

Are these visa's still available or has it been phased out already? Thanks very much

UK nationals have never been allowed visa on arrival (15 day paid visa stay) but suspect you may be thinking of the normal 30 days by air arrival visa exempt entry for those from UK. These are easily available but require you have onward flight within the allowed 30 day entry.

@lopburi3 I usually have a business visa or a multi entry, and never traveled to Thailand for such a short period of time. I just want to find a painless way to travel and make my holiday less stressful. The Visa did not occur to me until this morning, and i just wanted to make sure ive prepared everything nessessary. If the is no need to apply at my embassy for a 3 week visa it would save time and probably money.

I will fly to Bangkok and then depart Bangkok 3 weeks later so i guess im illegable for the 30 days air arrival from UK back to UK?

Yes you are entitled to a Visa Exempt Entry and will have no problems.
