73 year old ex-serviceman killed in hit-and-run road crash in Sattahip

SATTAHIP:--A 73 year old ex-serviceman was killed as he crossed a main road in Sattahip District on Monday Morning.

Retired Sub-Lieutenant Tongsuk sustained a major head trauma and was pronounced dead-at-the-scene. Witnesses told Police that a Bronze colored pick-up with a Chonburi Province License Plate, driving in the direction of Rayong Province hit the man as he crossed the main Sukhumvit Road and failed to stop at the scene of the fatal crash.

Family members of the retired officer were quickly on-scene and explained he was crossing the road to purchase items to give to Monks at a local temple when he was hit by the pick-up.
