Thai Residency

Featured Replies

Ok,

I have heard some guys claiming they got residency from being on a immigrant O visa for 3 years.

I found this interesting as I would have been on it for 3 years too starting in a few months.

So is this true? If so what do I need?

Is it a pain in the ass to get?

There is a pinned topic about it.

If working proof of tax payments are required. But read the topic to find out the real requirements.

around 200k baht oh and plenty of patience about 2 years worth assuming you qualify and jump the hoops, that's the short answer.

excellent information here on entire process: http://www.thaivisa....idence-process/

I think you are talking about Citizenship NOT resident.

Yes you must not have left Thailand 1 time in those 3 years and also been working full time and paying taxes.

May I ask why you want to be a Citizen of Thailand?

I believe the rule is 3 concurrent extensions, you can still leave Thailand, but the extensions must be consecutive.

3 years in Thailand on consecutive yearly extensions of stay.
