Non Immigrant -O- Extension

Featured Replies

So,

to get an extension for a year, of a Non Immigrant -O- Visa, reason father of a Thai child,

it is necessary to have 400.000 Baht for 2-3 month in a Thai bank.

No other possibilities of an extension, except a two month extension to be father of a Thai child, that is what I understand so far. Right? Thank you.

Kind regards

There is no 2-3 month requirement for the 400k. For some with dual national children the education extension for child and parent accompany for 500k could be used. For others study under an ED visa entry would be an option. Single non immigrant O visa entries for 90 day stays would also be available and these could sometimes be extended 60 days.

You also qualify if you can show an income of at least 40,000 baht a month. Can be from abroad, in which case the income needs to be confirmed by your embassy.

-lopburi3- and -Mario2008- thank you

That the 400.000.- Bath must not be on the account for a time limit 2-3 month, I was not aware of. I thought that was necessary, ok, good.

An extension of stay in TH for 2 month for taking care my Thai children when my Non Immigrant O expires should be granted without a big problem.

So I thought. We will see.wai.gif
