Underwater mines tested by the Royal Thai Navy off the coast of Sattahip

SATTAHIP:--We joined the Royal Thai Navy at sea on Friday to watch how they are developing and improving the efficiency of underwater mines which are designed to eliminate threats from enemy Submarines.

Rear Admiral Leurchai, Commander of the Mine Squardron invited us to attend a demonstration of two underwater mines which were detonated at a depth of 20 meters under the watchful eye of the Admiral. The test took place approximately 30 nautical miles off the coast of Sattahip and after the mines were positioned the observation vessels moved away to a safe distance so the mines could be detonated.
