Going to Vietnam in a few days for 3 weeks. Pre-booked hotels via Agoda for HCMC and Nha Trang for six days. However for remaining two weeks can anyone advise if it's best to book mid tier hotels online or do you get better deals directly with the hotel once in Vietnam? Thanks...

I live in Hue, Central Vietnam. There's plenty of accom everywhere. I usually find the best deals on Agoda. Also easy to use. I like to prebook my accom because looking for somewhere to stay on arrival is tedious. Taxis and tour desks won't steer you to the best hotel/resort. They'll ALWAYS steer you to the one they make most commission or is a friend or relative.

All hotels have a "walk in" rate. But negotiating with staff who's English aint great may also prove tedious.

Best rates and deals are always on websites.
