Tywais
seems they have changed domain to http://www.procomshop.com/ Thanks for that update. Been using http://www.shop4thai.com/ to order my stuff in the meantime. Would have been nice if they e-mailed their customers the site change. lomatopo
The topic of on-line computer retailers comes up fairly often. Maybe we could get an up to date list together and offer ti up as a 'pinned' topic? I find most of the currently 'pinned' topics less than relevant to my needs. Here is a start: http://www.hwhinter.com/ http://www.busitek.com/ http://www.thanni.com/ http://www.procomshop.com/ http://www.shop4thai.com/en/ http://www.pantip.com/tech/market/?url=price/ http://www.jib.co.th/ http://www.fivatech.net/ http://www.dcomputer.com/proinfo/product/main.asp http://www.tohome.com/computer.aspx

Highwayman
If that's the new PantipPrice site then they've gone backwards in a big way. Looking at what they have in stock in some categories you might as well go to Tesco, the range is so small. Hopefully it's still a site under construction as indicated by the lack of details and pictures for what few products they do have. Busitek has some interesting stuff, not a wide range but they stock some items not so easy to find even at Pantip or Zeer.

girlx
this is a very valuable thread for me... the question is, how reliable is receiving something via post within thailand from one of these retailers?
Tywais
this is a very valuable thread for me... the question is, how reliable is receiving something via post within thailand from one of these retailers? I've done quite a bit of ordering and never had a problem. They are usually sent by EMS or courier where a signature is required to show receipt. The places I have dealt with will supply you with a tracking number so you can follow its' route. Even get follow up e-mails to see if it has arrived safely. I can only vouch for these three: shop4thai tohome.com pantipprice.com (don't know about their new management if that is what is happening) They have been highly professional and even call me on my mobile if there are stock problems or a delivery delay. kalleballe
I live in Phuket and for many years I have been buying stuff from Com7 (now 7DayIt) and Busitek and they have always been very professional in their dealings with me. Prompt deliveries and good warranty service. Recently tried Thainni.com and that was not a pleasant experience. It seems that when you order on their website everything is in stock. Once you placed the order some part is actually not on stock and no information is supplied. When you check your account it stays "Processing" for days and you have to contact them yourself to get additional information. Once the goods are shipped no tracking number is given, web site only says "Delivered" Not going to use this company again. wiki256
i tried thanni.com three times and they seem to be very responsive. They give refunds for unfulfilled order without any hassles. Very trustworthy IMO.

triplegee
Great thread - thanks to all who have contributed! I have an IBM NetVista which only has 256mb Ram but it takes a hard-to-find spec. It's part details are: IBM 33L3255 MEMORY 512MB NP RDRAM (16D) 800MHz Anyone know of any memory specialists that aren't in Pantip? I have visited them all there. All the overseas memory sellers want a fortune too. A second-hand market online would be great. TIA. GG
