Getting A New Pp

Featured Replies

Hi, I have 4 pages left in PP, expiry of PP is 2014, what is the procedure for getting a new PP? (Canadian embassy)

Thanks

Don't know, as you're from one of Oregon's "northern counties," but you could start by sending an email or phoning you embassy in Bangkok. Must say, tho, I couldn't easily find a button on their www site for passport renewal. Here's the basic www site:

Go to the Embassy in Bangkok. Get a passport application. Get the proper size passport photos taken.

Get the extra paper for the Embassy to be your guarantor $50. Unless you have a guarantor in Thailand.

Decide if you want the regular passport or the one with extra pages, it costs more.

Received my new passport by post to my door (from the embassy in Bangkok) in 12 days.

I just got a new passport for 110$ at the US embassy but I am pretty sure it does not help someone from the fifty first state. I would suggest a new one it is a lot easier than having piles of tourist visa. Also you might want to check those last 4 pages and make sure they are not marked "Annotate and comment" I was lucky the Thais were nice about putting the stamps on pages that are not suppose to be used and it saved me from being stuck in Cambodia. So not all immigration issues are bad they were the ones who suggested getting a new passport.
