Gf'S Non-Imm B Visa Expires In Two Weeks How To Extend?

Featured Replies

My GF's non-immigrant B Visa expires in two weeks and she was just told that her teaching contract will not be renewed with her current employer. Is there anyway to extend the visa to give her more time to find a new job? She's Filipino so not sure if that makes any difference. I say that only because she sometimes has to go through more hoops to get her Visa.

Thanks in advance

One other question. Does anyone know of any stipulation where a person is only granted a 60 day Non-Imm. B visa if it's there first ever visa of this kind in Thailand? Everything I read says 90 days.

A non-immigrant visa always gives an entry of 90 days. There is no 60 day non-immigrant visa entry.

As two your first question, the answer is that she cannot get more than 7 days to leave the country and that might require a ticket out. She wil have to go abroad and get a tourist visa if she needs more time.
