Holding Thai Passport Need Visa To Bali ?

Featured Replies

I want to go Bali for vacation not sure Thai passport need visa to Bali or not?? Anyone know??

No Visa needed for 30 days... and no fee.... Have fun..

take plenty of money with you especially if your going to a tourist location. and phone calls cost a fortune

  • 2 weeks later...

She will get 30 days, more than that requires a visa (USD only at emb in BKK).

Bring in 2L booze - you will find alcohol so insanely priced that it is enough to get alcoholics to stop drinking. Bring in another L in a water bottle in your bag.

Internet on mobile widely avail is generally by data, not time.

Kuta just seems to get worse and worse every time I have to transit through. Kuta's culture is long gong. Ubud does not have street food and restaurants add 10% to the bill. Ubud's culture is FAST going.

Recommend you go to Lombok and Flores rather than Bali.

Not true, may ways to spend as cheap as Thailand, both to call Thai and Europe, just ask around in Bali

Why? Bali is wonderful, cheap and people are more polite and friendly than their counterpart here in Thai. Style, culture, nature, beaches, are amazing there.

Booze expensive? who cares.

Sorry, but if you think Kuta is a rewarding experience - neigh even Ubud, you would be wholly bereft of any capacity to judge authentic culture. Bali is nothing more than a tourist trap vacationed by a slog of drunken Aussies and far too many beginner surfers.

Balinese have left Bali and turned out the lights - it is painfully apparent.

Beaches do not hold a candle to Thailand's, nature? Joking right? Culture, yeah it is for sale - Basaki Temple (ALL the temples really) actually cost money to get into. Sorry, I do not pay to enter working (living) temples. Another thing to pay for World Heritage Sites.

I will say that the Balianese do still retain a lovely sense of style and at least in Ubud despite the tourism - are fairly decent people. Prices in shops are way out of line in Ubud.

There is also far too much Muslim presence on the island which threatens the Hindu lifestyle these years. Appears Balianese have packed it in.

No alcohol - well, why don't you just move to Dubai?

PLAN on paying an extra 10% to your entire meal for service - even if that service sucks, the restaurant is nothing more than a glorified warung and the food comes out INSANELY slow. You will be eating is overpriced restaurants so this + the 10% for ten days in Ubud could add up to a few thousand baht for absolutely nothing. There are a few tiny eateries that you can avoid the charge, local places really. Food is also authentic often Indo / Padang not Balinese.

Having ranked on the island enough - here is a tip: If you are stuck in Kuta, locate the 711 off Poppies2. Go down the small gang straight ahead, on the right is a GREAT and cheap warung. Fresh food served Padang style. Not spicy enough, but its a great place to fill the hole.

Ok, you don't like Kuta and you don't like Muslims (and Aussies).

But luckily Bali is not only there and Ubud, the only place seems you have visited.

Wonderful restaurants, chic and trendy in Semyniak, great imported food at Bali Deli, beautiful villas for rent at a fraction of the prices of Thailand. Hundred of boutiques and craft workshops. But, hey, I don't need to convince you, everybody have the right to have an opinion. Sorry you didn't like Bali.

PS Drink a good Bintang beer, available everywhere in Bali

I thought I was the only one who did that from Thailand - you don't work on Sumbawa by any chance?

Local sim cards are not that pricy that do specials on international calls, and then of course we have viber for those on the system.

Half of the beauty for me is getting away from the damned phonebiggrin.png

Not having found anything like authentic Indian food where I am, Bali satisfied my cravings for another few monthsbiggrin.png , great service, quick and delicious.

Saya ada tidak masala degan Aussies dan Muslims!

I was simply providing a reality check. Bali was the LAST Hindu island in what was a Hindu and then Buddhist nation. The government allowed all the Muslim's in and it has clearly changed the character of the people and the culture. As for the Aussies - that is just a fact. Indo does not need another Muslim island.

I have spent MONTHS in Bali. I used to work in Indonesia in fact. Sorry my honest perceptions of a country I have spent no less than 18 months in has got in your dreamy holiday.

My last trip, less than a year ago I found to be a very poor value as did my Thai GF (Food/Lodging/Alcohol). I even sent her to the most expensive and chic hotel/massage in Ubud. It was very average, very. Although the garden was lovely! Semyniak is nothing, a glorified extension of Kuta.
